Garages in Darley Abbey to be demolished
Derby City Council have decided that they can no longer afford to maintain two sets of concrete sectional garages in Darley Abbey village. One set is at the rear of Lavender Row and the other in the car park behind the British Legion near the Park. Concern has been expressed by residents in Poplar Row that the demolition work may cause damge to an ajascent old wall and trees. Conservation officers have been alerted and are requiring a formal planning application and a bat survey.
