North Avenue development planning application Update
All parties interested in this application should know that the matter will be dealt with at the Planning Committee's meeting on 10th September at 6.00 pm. Whilst only two people will be given the opportunity to speak at the meeting, it is useful that as many people as possible attend to show the committee the depth of feeling in the village about this application.
It is hoped that a representative of the Darley Abbey Society will be one of those allowed to speak.
Meanwhile, the Society has commissioned three reports. One on the traffic impact of the proposals on the existing infrastructure, another on the impact of the proposals on the World Heritage Site and Green Wedge, and the third on problems associated with surface water run-off that would be caused by the development. These will be sent to the council prior to the meeting.
