TEA and TALES - STORY TELLING WITH AFTERNOON TEA

Sunday 21st May 2017, 2 - 4 p.m. at Darley Abbey Methodist Church Hall.

Join us for a companionable afternoon of old fashioned storytelling and cream teas. After your meal, traditional storyteller Sophie Snell will share folk stories and songs from around the British Isles. This event is in aid of the Darley Abbey Scouts' Hall fund. Children's tickets are available for children from 9 years up to 13 years of age at £5 each.

Children aged 14 and over will require an adult ticket.

Sophie Snell is a professional storyteller who entertains all ages at festivals, museums, historic houses and arts and community spaces across the UK. A warm, engaging and lively performer, she is known for her comic and intriguing tales drawn from folk and fairy tales from around the world. In 2013, she was nominated for the British Awards for Storytelling Excellence under the category "Outstanding Female Storyteller". Some recent quotes from audience members include:
