The Big Help Out at Darley Abbey Scouts Hall on 8 May 2023
The Big Help Out – Can you lend us a hand at Darley Abbey Scouts Hall on 8th May?
To mark The King's Coronation, we're joining #TheBigHelpOut on Monday 8th May.
As part of The Big Help Out, the 63rd Derby (Darley Abbey) Scout Group will be having a Social gathering and Spring tidy up of our grounds (or Hall if wet), from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. on Monday 8th May.
If you would like to help, come along to Darley Abbey Scouts Hall at The Hill, off New Road, Darley Abbey, Derby, DE22 1DT. Please bring some gardening hand tools if you can.
We will provide teas, coffees, water and soft drinks but you can bring some food to cook on our BBQ. The more of us who lend a hand, the bigger the difference we will make.
Team player? Love supporting young people? Great at planning?
We are also looking for looking for people to help with our Scouts' Section (young people aged 10 -14 years old), and a Quartermaster to look after our kit. Each week, our volunteers help young people gain skills for life through activities and adventures.
No previous experience with young people? No problem. Whether you'd like to help out week-after-week or whenever-you-can, we provide training and learning opportunities. If you feel you have something to contribute, why not join us?
